Yoga practice works most effectively if done regularly in conjunction with a healthy diet. An American version of Ashtanga yoga, power yoga is a rigorous and powerful class. Benefits of Yoga practice are toned abs, arms and legs as well as improved posture. Poses can be advanced and held for long durations, but beginners can follow the class at their own pace.

Vinyasa flow Yoga: Suitable for those who have never practiced yoga before or if you want take a slow Power yoga class and still get a good work out. This yoga class begins with deep relaxation and breathing (pranayama. This class is aimed at building your strength up to a vinyasa flow level. No matter your age, strength or flexibility level, yoga is for everyone. Anyone can do yoga with the right attitude and right teacher.

Ashtanga: This is a tradition power yoga sequence and it is always the same set series of poses that are linked together with breath to produce internal heat, helping to detox the body. Students begin with the primary series and then move on once the poses have been mastered. There are six series in all. The most frequently practiced series is the first series. Sir Pattabhi Jois is the Guru of Ashtanga Yoga. He had been quoted as saying ’’ Yoga is 99% practice and 1% percent theory’’. So time to get on your mats and practice! Regular Yoga has been known to prevent injuries in athletes.

Yoga sculpt: This really popular class designed by Power yoga teacher Suzanne O’Sullivan & Personal Trainner Denise O’Shea. This is a total body workout designed to tone and sculpt the major muscle groups. Free weights serve as your own personal adjuster as you move through sun salutations and other yoga poses. This is a intense but easy to follow yoga class. It will help you to tone up, build lean muscles, and burn calories. This class is not for beginners, you must have taken at least 4 level 1 classes or have a good knowledge of yoga postures to start this class, and a good fitness level.

Rise & Shine Ashtanga: This early morning 75 minute session begins with gentle “wake up” stretches, builds to a sweaty level of vigor and ends with deep seated stretches. Modifications are provided. The most athletic & physically demanding form of yoga. The foundation of this ancient system, discovered by the late Sri T. Krishnamacharya and his disciple Pattabhi Jois in the 1930′s, involves a series of SET postures practised in sequence (vinyasa). There are 6 sequences in all, the first is known as the Primary Series. A certain level of fitness is required to start Ashtanga. (Tue and Thur 6.45am-8am)
